Breakfast Program:

For our major project of 2016, FFC will sponsor the Riverton Early Education Centre's Breakfast Program two days per week! Currently the school hosts a free breakfast for around 70-80 students per day, three days per week. FFC will expand this program to a nutritious breakfast offered every single school day! School Sponsorships:

There are many bright youth and adults yearning for schooling but without the means to complete their education. FFC carefully vets out needy and enthusiastic students to sponsor their education or loan interest-free tuition. 

School Supplies:

On each of the volunteer trips in 2013, 2014 and 2015, FFC members brought down in-kind donations of much needed school supplies for the teachers and students including lap tops, musical recorder flutes, stationary and art supplies.  

​Staff Apprecaition Day:

In November 2015 we wanted to celebrate and thank the dedicated teachers, staff and volunteers that keep the Riverton Early Education Centre running so smoothly! Many of the teachers and staff have lived in Riverton most of their lives and some were even students at the school back when they were between 3 and 6 years old! It is hard to find a staff member who has been working at the school for less than 10 years. These hard working and loving leaders are the back bone of not only the Centre but the whole community. Keep up the fantastic work!

Lunch Program:

A few years back, our founder Ayako, raised money to renovate the kitchen area, as you can see it now. In 2013, FFC members donated again towards running the lunch program for the year. Now, we are currently looking to continue funding the running of this lunch program. This kitchen feeds the 100+ students each day during the school year and also opens to feed the summer camp as well. Having a full stomach is an integral part of having focused, healthy and happy students! 

A little money can go a long way: 

$1 = one meal for one student
$5 = a whole week of meals for a student 
$20 = provides lunch for a whole month for one student 

Bathroom Renovations:

FFC members funded the addition of three new bathroom stalls, new sinks and the replacement of the bathroom door in September 2013.
